What I'm Reading Now

Most people know this author for his famous, "The Book of Virtues" and "The Children's Book of Virtues".

This particular book focuses on the many angles of manhood. Not being a man myself (obviously), this helps me to articulate character traits for my son. If you can get a copy, I think it will inspire you during a modern era of faulty character.

I have more vacation pictures coming soon, but here are a few fun ones whilst we wait! :)

Stick'em up!

Meet Me in St. Louis

On our way back home, we stopped by the Arch. We were pressed for time, so we didn't go up and away in it, but they have a nice museum underneath that we were able to tour.

Victoria is going through a stage of posing for pictures that comes off a little odd. She isn't dancing, she is posing. :)

Silver Dollar City

We don't tolerate disobedience in this family, even on vacation.

This was the stunt show. After the opening, they cancelled it due to "lightning in the clouds". A couple hours later (and a couple drops later), they re-opened everything.
This was a fun place and since I was sick, it was pretty easy to navigate.

They had lots of rides, shows, and craftsmen.

Colin is his mother's son. If there is a rule, he will follow it. He takes holding on to the bar very seriously, as you see here.

There were some bigger roller coasters, but I was unable to get pictures of those. Silver Dollar City is a pretty fun place.

Joseph

One day while we were in Missouri, we went to see "Joseph". It was performed by Sight and Sounds Theatre, and this theatre was built by them for their performances.
The lion and the lamb. The performance was wonderful and of high quality!
This is Victoria's idea of a pose.

More Creation Museum

Here are the rest of my pictures from our visit to the Creation Museum. Colin is trying to look nervous.
Victoria really was scared of the dinos. We had to help her overcome her fears by touching him.

Jason, Victoria and Colin rode the camel. It was the shortest camel ride ever, but they had fun.

 Victoria loved the animals.

 Me and the boy. :)
 Him and the girl. :)
Victoria is thinking lofty, princessy thoughts. Ruling a kingdom takes contemplation.
It also works up a large appetite. To speed her culinary adventures along, we loaded up forks with food.

Creation Museum 2012

Visiting the Creation Museum marked the beginning of our family vacation. The kids had fun having a big, squishy bed. As it turned out, Victoria kept giving in to her violent side and she had to sleep on the floor.
We ate at the restaurant next to our hotel and it was delicious!
They had a beautiful lobby with a foutain.

We love the Creation Museum. It was our second time there. We also went to the Planetarium and it was amazing! I love the stars. They remind me what a wonderful, powerful and creative Creator I have for a Father.
