Mackinac Island

After Lansing, we headed to Mackinac Island, which is the best place on earth because there are no cars! No cars means people move slower and think more.

We did a carriage tour this time and had some great carriage drivers. We learned some interesting things.

The butterfly house was bemautiful.

Colin had a butterfly land on his neck. Then it crawled onto his nose and stayed there for quite a time. The butterfly held on in spite of Colin's drastic measures to remove him. It made the admission price very worth it.

The Capitol Building

It has been years since I have been here! It is such a beautiful building. It makes you want to run for office! I am so glad they decided to restore it instead of building a new one. It has quite a history!
