With the recent snowstorms, we got some great packing snow! The bummer was our car became horribly stuck in our driveway and took hours of labor to free it. The plus side was that Colin and Jason were able to make a great snowman! Unfortunately, the deer helped themselves to his carrot nose. With our warmer weather (yeah!) all of the snow has melted. We'll see you another year, Mr. Snowman!

My Valentine
Okay, I'm a little behind. Colin gave me a Valentine. He did a great job, but be prepared, it's not a lovey-dovey one!
The inside reads:
I like it when my mom cooks food.
I love my mom because she is my teacher.
I love mom.
It is very cute. The butterfly is saying"Hi" in the bubble. He did a great job!

Hair and Tags...
We have discovered one of Victoria's quirks! She likes to hold my hair or tags while she sucks her thumb. She has a doll with two hairs (yes, only two) that are curly. We wondered if she would notice them...and she did!
It's a little hard to tell in the picture, but she is holding one of the hairs in her fingers of the hand she is sucking her thumb with.

Gluten-Free Find!
Since Colin has a sensitivity to gluten, coupled with his overwhelming desire to eat, I am always looking for tasty ways to give him snacks without adding to his issue. Gluten-free foods tend to be very expensive for the few ounces you get, so it can be a challenge. Lately, more and more products are being created for the GF world. This was my latest find! These tasty, crispy chip/crackers are made from sweet potatoes and corn. They were yummy and not too bad for the price.

Colin's Birthday Continued...
Uncles John and Mike couldn't be with us at the party, so they gave Colin a present later. It was a microscope! Colin really thought it was neat and has already looked at "lovely" things in it (i.e. blood & guts). Jason proceeded to pull out some of my hair and looked at it in the scope. There were extra bumpy things on it that I am going to hope are not bugs!
They also gave him a 3-D storybook. Who do you think looks best in the cool glasses?
