Fun-due!

Colin loved trying out his fondue pot! We made a swiss cheese sauce. We cut up sautéed kielbasa, fruit and some veg to dip in it. Yum! Next, he wants to make a chocolate fondue.

Vacation Bible School 2014 (July)

 We had to dress all crazy on one day. It was fun. Each day of VBS was a different theme.

 On Friday evening, the kids went to the fair and spent the tickets that they earned throughout the week.

 The food smudged on her face was not part of her face paint. :) Below is the finished product of one of her prizes. It is a color-by-number picture of Sophia the First.

Victoria's Fifth Birthday! July 2, 2014

 She wanted a Fancy Nancy party!

 The food was tea party themed with fruit wands, tea, finger sandwiches, salad and such.

 She really wanted a princess game. We have played this a few times and it is pretty fun!

 She also wanted an umbrella, which she uses quite a bit in the house. It is a good thing we are not superstitious!

Ant Farm

 Colin had fun with his ant farm. It was interesting to see how they work. I always think of the verse in Proverbs, "Go to the ant, thou sluggard..."

 This is just a random proof that he does practice the piano! :)

Notes

Victoria wrote some personal notes to us out of the blue. She even wrote one for us to give to her.  :)

Safety Town

Victoria had fun participating in Safety Town in Saline for almost two weeks. She learned many things about safety and her community.

No matter where she goes, someone always braids her hair.

No, we did not send her in her robe. She really wanted a picture in her fire hat.

On the last day, each class did an hour long presentation. She even got a "badge" from the policeman. :)

Each day, they practiced safety rules in their mini-town.
