Greenfield Village

The weather was finally not 100 degrees outside, so we made a run for it to Greenfield village. Since we have a membership, we took our time going through the buildings.
Our first stop is the Firestone Farm, which is a working farm. Their gardens have also been suffering from the drought and groundhogs.
We are inside the farmhouse (they said we could sit on the furniture).

Gobble, gobble.

Girly Bed

Her pretty new bed ensemble. Soon, the hospital-ish looking bed rails will not be there.

Victoria fell asleep reading her book. While she was in her crib, she rarely slept during her nap due to bouncing. She is not allowed to bounce in her bed. It is amazing how much rest one gets when one doesn't bounce. :)

Big Girl

Victoria is finally out of her crib and into a regular bed. In fact, she is using the bedroom set I had growing up.

Jason is cleaning up from where the crib was.
The peanut gallery. They are all watching in anticipation.

These are the safety rails I used when I was little. Trust me, I needed them. At some point we'll remove them, and hopefully she won't be like me. I fell out of the bed a lot.
She is pretending to sleep. She sure loves her new bed.

Colin, Our Little Artist

This was his birthday card for Keturah's birthday. I thought all these Disney characters were cute. I especially like the Mickey Mouse.

Fisk

Fisk (a.k.a. The Other Farm)
The old milk house.

40 acres of adventure!
The "basement" we thought was haunted. The house was built in 1800 something.
The ghosts maintain the hot water heater and other necessities of life.

NBT

The kids had tons of fun at NBT (Neighborhood Bible Time). Victoria loved holding her class sign for Abigail.

Haven wasn't too keen on my taking her picture.

Colin worked really hard all week and was able to say many verses! He also was given a little dog balloon. As soon as we came home, he dropped it on the grass. The brown prickly grass. It immediately popped and Colin was very heartbroken over it. The next day, Jason was telling the story to his patient and her son. Her son said he makes those balloons all the time and he had some in his pocket! The following pictures are of the balloons the man made for Colin.
The Lord cares about everything and loves to cheer-up His children!

Snail Race!

We are a gaming family, there is no doubt about that! We have to train them young. Victoria gets right in there and takes her turn. Since there is no reading required to play this one, all she needed to do was match the color on the dice to the colors of the snails.

Independence Day

I have a love/hate relationship with clowns. They are funny and creepy all at the same time.

Unfortunately, I deleted some better pictures I had of the group from our church. :(
This is the view after our float passed.
Eat your fruits and veggies!

I love old, old cars and old, old people and old, old ways.

In case a hat blows off, he will have a spare (or two).
