Skirts and Pipers

Victoria has been smiling more and significantly less crabby (though the evening is still not her favorite). She bats at her toys and loves to watch her big brother bounce around. We have been reading to her, and she tries to hold the book. She has some cute shirts, so I made her a little denim skirt to go with them!

Colin has finished his soccer season. He was a defensive player and took his role very seriously (unlike the other kid who played defense from a relaxed lounge-on-the-grass position). He got to kick the ball! He had fun and the weather was nice. Also, Jason was able to take him to the Pied Piper and they had a lot of fun. Colin loves to go to plays (as do we)!

Soccer!

The coach showing Colin how to use his instep to pass the ball.
Passing the ball to his partner.

More drills.

We enrolled Colin in soccer so he could learn teamwork and some coordination. He loves books and having been an only child for so long, doesn't get to play sports much. Overall, he likes it.

Lady of Hats

My little girl in hats! After changing her diaper and her clothes (spit-up strikes again), I thought I would see which of her hats would fit her little head. She will need them this winter, since she doesn't have much hair.

Caterpillar's Everywhere!

Colin has been wearing his caterpillar backpack lately. One day, he and Jason found a fuzzy caterpillar outside and Colin let it crawl on his arm. Later, we let it go back into the "wild". Colin was sad, as he wanted it for a pet. The next morning he was crying when I got him up. Apparently, he was worried about his caterpillar and wanted to go find him outside. He didn't quite understand that we would have a hard time locating him, as he had probably crawled away to who knows where.

Victoria has been a lot less grumpy since she found her thumb a few weeks ago. It's cute now, but hopefully it will not be hard to break her of the habit later!
